Internships
Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) works with over 300
arts, cultural and scientific organizations throughout the seven-county
Denver metro area including local nonprofit organizations, government cultural
departments, and regional cultural facilities. Thus, an SCFD internship
offers a unique opportunity for students, job seekers, and career changers
to meet new people, and learn and explore an astonishing range of culture.
Presently, SCFD offers a non-paid internship program. As an SCFD intern,
you will attend board and community meetings, while learning the governance
and grant making process. Exposure to grant management, building relationships
via community meetings, and helping to implement special projects are some
of the intern's responsibilities.
SCFD internships are flexible! SCFD interns report to a program manager who coordinates work responsibilities to fit your schedule.
SCFD prefers candidates that can commit eight hours per week for at least
two months. Internships may begin at any time during the year.
If you are interested in applying, please send an email with an
attached resume expressing your interest to Peg Long,
Executive Director at peg@scfd.org.
You may be contacted for an interview after we have received your information.
