2012 Rex Morgan Award Ceremony

2012 Rex Morgan Award  Vicki Sterling’s name has officially been in engraved on the Rex Morgan Tribute sculpture. She has joined a growing list of amazing individuals who have served our cultural community.  Last week artist, Patrick Marold, engraved the name of the latest recipient of the Rex Morgan Award.  Be sure to visit the sculpture on the Galleria Terrace at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

A ceremony was held earlier this month at the Studio Loft at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  It was an exciting evening of cultural happenings to honor all of this year’s Rex Morgan nominees: Patricia Braden, Jeremy Shamos, Greg Stokes, and P.K. Worley, and of course, the recipient, Vicki Sterling.  The Rex Morgan Award recognizes individuals who have contributed time, talent and spirit to positively impact the cultural community through volunteer leadership. Since 1998 the Rex Morgan Award has highlighted the extraordinary contributions of District residents.

Those who attended the ceremony enjoyed entertainment by the Colorado Symphony, the Denver Zoo, and Frequent Flyers® Productions.  Thank you again to these organizations as well as our partners and sponsors: Arts & Venues Denver, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Denver Art Museum, The Denver Brass, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Evergreen Players, Ars Nova Singers, Augustana Arts, Colorado Chautauqua Association, Colorado Ballet, Evergreen Audubon, Platte Valley Players, and Randy Weeks.
