FREE DAY at the Movies!

SCFD | 2013-04-10

The Denver Film Society is hosting a FREE DAY Thursday, April 11 starting at 1pm as a thank you for the community support the Denver Film Society has received since their move to their Colfax location in 2010. For those of you who don’t know, the Sie Film Center is located at 2510 E. Colfax, near East High school. The films being shown during the free day tomorrow are diverse and should suite the pallet of any film guru or aspiring movie critic. For those seeking to delve into the seedy underworld of crime, the film Welcome to the Punch should provide sufficient thrills. Or, perhaps heady and heavy material are more your thing? If so, you should check out War Witch and Harvest of the Empire. If those don’t strike your fancy, then you could try a coming of age story such as Ginger & Rosa or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. And for something a bit off kilter, you may wish to briefly sojourn in the bizarre world of Wrong, a surrealist comedy from Quentin Dupieux, director of the film Rubber. If you have seen Rubber, you know what to expect (or not expect as Mr. Dupiex would have it). Remember, tomorrow is your chance to plan a get away to the movies for free!
