Starz Denver Film Festival is from November 12-23

The 37th annual Starz Film Festival is beginning this week! The festival features over 250 films from around the world. The Denver Film Society organizes this festival and hosts many of the films at the Sie FilmCenter, its home theater in Denver. Some of this year’s festival films include 5 to 7, a debut film by director Victor Levin that offers insight into the unpredictable nature of life and the equally unexpected consequences of love. The Imitation Game features Benedict Cumberbatch in this biopic of Alan Turing, the British mathematician who broke the Germans’ Enigma code, playing a major role in ending World War II. There are many more films being shown, so check out the link to the film guide below.

The festival features more than just the films; there will be Women + Film panel showcasing talented American Independent female directors. The Colorado Film Hall of Fame Award is also presented annually at the Starz Denver Film Festival to recognize and honor individuals for their exemplary achievements and leadership within the Colorado film community. This year’s honoree, Daniel Junge, is a Colorado-based Oscar® and Emmy® -winning director.
