Clyfford Still Museum Offers Free Fridays in 2015

In appreciation of the citizens who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SFCD), and in the spirit of community engagement, the Museum will offer free admission on select days throughout the year. This year, from January 30 to October 30, the Museum is free on every Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., and free all day on the final Friday of each month. Also, all Denver Public Schools students holding a valid MY Denver Card receive free admission on weekends and during all school holidays and breaks. One general admission per cardholder is also granted for any accompanying adult guardian.

The Clyfford Still Museum opened in 2011 after the City of Denver was chosen to receive Still’s works to display in a permanent museum. The Museum’s collection represents 95% of Still’s work, or 3,125 works created between 1920 and 1980. Clyfford Still (1904-1980) was an Abstract Expressionist. This style is marked by abstract forms, brushwork, and monumental scale, and was developed in the years after World War II.

Next free Friday is January 30 | 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
