We are seeking a Contract Youth Educator who is experienced in youth education and has a passion for sharing the wonder of nature with kids. The Youth Educator will be an integral part of the Youth Education Team, delivering DUG programs for ECE – 5th graders at schools and youth organizations across metro Denver. This role will also support in the creation and management of educational materials for youth programs.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable educator with a flexible daytime schedule, who is passionate about effective and equitable approaches to learning and teaching, and embraces the value of community and cultivating relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and lived experiences. This position must pass a criminal background check prior to start. This position reports to the Youth Engagement Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Teach DUG classes as needed throughout the school year
• Build and maintain educational resources for classes taught
• Communicate promptly and effectively with instructors and DUG
• Keep accurate records of attendance, classes taught, and notes on lesson plans
