Job Description:

We are seeking a Bilingual Experience Developer (Exhibits/Programs) with interpretive writing skills to develop Spanish-language exhibit and program content for a wide range of audiences. This will include students, families, and adults. Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) aims to connect people across Colorado with meaningful and joyful experiences in nature and science. We invite enthusiastic and creative individuals to apply to join our team of catalysts in experience development!

This Experience Developer:

  • Leads the creation of original, culturally reflective Spanish-language content for exhibits and programs that are responsive to the wishes of Denver’s Spanish-speaking community.
  • Assesses existing English-language experiences for possible adaptation to Spanish, in collaboration with Denver’s Spanish-speaking community and bilingual/bicultural colleagues.
  • Collaborates across the museum to include coworkers and external partners.
  • Collaborates with bilingual staff in the wider museum to help create a bilingual museum.
  • Identifies appropriate content delivery mechanisms such as: a label, a picture, an interpreter, or a collections item.
  • Understands the value of museum collection exploration for our guests.
  • Considers diverse learning styles of target audiences.
  • Creates access for traditionally marginlized groups.
  • Conducts research, organizes information, frames interpretive messages and themes, and produces informational text for experiences.


Minimum qualifications/Requirements:

  • 4 years’ experience in exhibits, or in copywriting/editing in print or digital media required.
  • 2 years’ experience in developing exhibit themes, content development, interpretive writing/editing, or other related experiences required.
  • 2 years coordinating and/or managing projects and working with teams required.
  • Some early, long, or late hours to meet deadlines required.
  • Fluent in (reading, writing and speaking) English/Spanish required.
  • The Museum loves science. As a science institution, the Museum believes in the science behind vaccines. Effective September 1, 2021, all persons offered a position will be required to provide valid proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to starting employment.
