Education & Community Engagement Assistant
Colorado Ballet
Position: Part-time, Hourly Non-exempt Employee
Pay: $20.60/hour (for administrative duties)
Hours: 24 hours per week, flexible schedule (Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM)
Position Overview
The ECE Department is seeking an Assistant to support its daily operations. This individual will report to the Manager of Education & Community Engagement while providing broad support to the entire department. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, initiative, and effective communication to navigate fast-paced work environments, especially during school terms and production seasons.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining accurate records for the department.
- Assisting with invoices, payments, and scholarship tracking.
- Collaborating with the finance team for check requests and financial documentation.
- Supporting program scheduling and internal communications.
- Creating supplemental educational materials such as study guides and “know before you go” documents.
- Serving as a secondary point of contact for program-related communications and partnerships.
- Assisting in tracking grant deliverables and gathering data for reports (e.g., surveys and data analysis).
- Managing ongoing projects, such as organizing photos or year-to-year data comparisons.
- Inputting data into the company’s database to ensure records and communications are accurate.
- Operating the Figaro seatback titling system during performances.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A deep commitment to the mission of Colorado Ballet and the ECE Department, including dedication to access, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- The ability to balance multiple priorities independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a state and federal fingerprint background check upon hiring and mandatory reporter training.
- If interested in the teaching aspect of the position: a background in dance, experience teaching dance (particularly in public schools or non-traditional settings), or formal education in dance or dance education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience or background in dance, performing arts, or related fields.
- Experience with the Tessitura Network.
