The Manager of Individual and Corporate Giving is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term individual and corporate donor relationships. As an individual contributor, your work will directly impact the Museum’s budgeted annual and future fundraising goals. You will have an active portfolio of prospective and current donors who have the capability of making five and six-figure gifts. While there are many metrics for success, there is an annual individual goal of raising $1M+ while supervising gift officers with their own fundraising goals. You will also supervise a donor relations officer who is responsible for creating stewardship plans for donors along the giving spectrum.

Develops and manages a portfolio of approximately 75-100 prospective and active donors who are capable of giving five and six figure gifts in support of general operating, initiative and/or endowment to ensure financial stability of the Museum.
Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits (verbal and in writing), and provides stewardship for donors and prospective donors with a goal of long-term relationships.
Supports written efforts to solicit donors and ensures timely, accurate completion of proposals, gift agreements, and reports. Documents prospect strategies and action reports, evaluates new prospects and generates stewardship reports and general correspondence daily to cultivate gift prospects.
Equips and involves DMNS team to include Curators, Exhibits and Programs staff, Initiative leads on funding priorities, strategies and cultivation activities.
Represents the Museum at events (internally and externally).
Participates as an active member of the Development and Marketing Division, sharing information and collaborating with colleagues.
Maintains database integrity in the Museum’s database (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) through timely, accurate and comprehensive recording of actions taken.
Provides direction, communicates job expectations and on-going training and feedback to direct reports to ensure professional development and success.
Ensures high employee engagement.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience required.
5 years’ experience in fundraising at the level of five and six-figures, especially from individuals, required.
3 years’ experience supervising professional staff required.
3 years’ experience utilizing a donor database or CRM required.
Some travel along the Colorado Front Range required.
Some evening and weekend work required.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and web enabled applications required.
