St. Martin’s Chamber Choir

Position:  Interim General Manager, St. Martin’s Chamber Choir

Reports to:  Board of Directors and Board President; coordinates with Artistic Director as needed

Time and compensation: This is a part-time, contract, temporary position, up to 20 hours per week and expected to last up to 3 months.  The pay is $25.00 per hour.

Working conditions:  Position has access to the SMCC computer and files; is free to work remotely at his or her own discretion in order to accomplish the duties enumerated below and has access to an office at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.  Note:  Position is not responsible for any long term projects in fundraising, marketing, public relations, or organization management.

  1. Concert production: Assures that the scheduled concerts are produced without errors in written material, in venue, ticketing, or finances, to include:
    • Prepares, in coordination with the Artistic Director, concert program
    • Assures venue is prepared and meets all the needs of the choir for performance
    • Acquires sheet music, pays royalties, taxes and other fees
    • Arranges for and coordinates volunteers
    • Coordinates with Program and Development Associate to manage concerts
    • Assures ticketing system is fully functional
  1. Fiscal Management: Makes timely deposits and accurate postings to the bookkeeping system
    • Receives, records and deposits all monies in a timely manner
    • Posts all income and expenses to bookkeeping system using QuickBooks, or coordinates with bookkeeping firm
    • Acknowledges, as appropriate, all donations
    • Follows board’s budget in making expenditures
    • Approves and effects all payments authorized by the budget and board
    • Coordinates with the Board Treasurer
  1. Fundraising: Completes all logistics for the planned activities
    • Confirms with venues all logistics
    • Oversees marketing
    • Prepares and submits any grants that are due within the time of their tenure
  1. Board of Directors: Coordinates with the board president to prepare agenda materials
    • Attends Board of Director meetings, and committee meetings as needed
    • Prepares packets of materials for board members
    • Completes assignments made by the board of directors

Qualifications:  Two years of experience in managing and implementing programs and projects, preferably in an arts organization.

Compensation: $25/ hour
