Job Summary:   
This position supports computer workstations, software applications, and other technology used throughout the organization. The purpose is to enhance employee productivity through timely support and proactive improvement of PC workstations, systems software, and audio-visual technology. The IT Technician contributes to the organizational mission by providing superb technical service and thoughtful innovations that lead to a transformative experience for our Garden visitors.
 
Essential Job Duties:
· Deliver front-line technology support services, escalating complex issues when necessary
· Provide timely response and quality resolution for IT Service Desk requests (a.k.a. Help Desk)
· Coordinate problem-solving efforts with IT coworkers and appropriate vendor contacts
· Contribute to IT projects and in some cases, lead IT projects.
· Lead troubleshooting, repair, and installation efforts for end-user workstations, printers, phones, and other peripherals
– Provide first-level support for all software applications used across the enterprise 
 
Other Job Duties:
· Support and troubleshoot various point-of-sale systems, including remote event transactions 
· Occasional set-up and/or support of audio-visual (A/V) equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces.
· Proactively apply upgrades and patches to keep computing systems secure
· Provide Microsoft Windows operating system, Office 365, and related software installation and support
· Assist with tracking and inventory of DBG workstations and technical assets.
· Administer end-user permissions and access privileges in accordance with DBG-IT policy
· Document common issues and resolutions for internal guidance and user self-help
· Design and deliver IT training for both new and existing users
· Participate in on-call rotation for weekend and major event support
· Meet established performance goals based on measured customer satisfaction and response time
Experience/Education:
· Bachelors degree and/or combination of education and equivalent experience is required. 
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in technology support is required.
· Recognized technical certifications, such as Microsoft Technology Associate or CompTIA A+ are a plus.
· Demonstrated experience supporting an innovative multi-departmental organization is beneficial.
 
Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Must have proven excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills in dealing with the public and supporting DBG staff
· Ability to maintain stability under pressure and able to deal well with stressful situations.
· Ability to be flexible and willing to modify plans when necessary, throughout the day.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
· Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
· Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
· Experience with Jira or similar help-desk ticketing systems
· Knowledgeable in supporting both on-premise and software-as-a-service (‘hosted’) applications
· Must be self-motivated with a keen attention to detail. 
· Must work well with others in a team-oriented, highly collaborative environment
· Ability to work overtime as necessary.
· Must be a positive representative of DBG both internally and externally at all times.
· Must work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and the public.
· Must be committed to working safely at all times.
