Job Purpose

Our ideal candidate is a detailed, curious problem-solver and detective who isn’t afraid to ask new questions and explore possible answers in the data. We need a rigorous analyst who can compile and clean data from multiple sources, “geek out” on the numbers, and clearly visualize and communicate the results with a wide variety of teammates and stakeholders.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing – Insight & Strategy and supports the organization at-large.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn and stay up to date with the details of DCPA offerings, programs, and initiatives to be able to understand data and provide insight to teammates. Self-initiate updates to reports, etc, based on key organizational dates and changes
  • Gather and document reporting requirements to design, develop, test, implement and distribute reports and dashboards of various scopes and timelines
  • Use Microsoft Excel to create and update data analysis and charts for presentations
  • Develop proficiency with the business intelligence tools within AudienceView, our ticketing system, in partnership with IT
  • Proactively collect feedback from and work with cross-functional teammates and stakeholders to improve reports and dashboards
  • Assist in market research and surveying. Lead creation and analysis of post-production surveys for every show
  • Assist digital and other marketing teammates with email and other communication segmentation, using Hubspot and AudienceView to build list queries and identify conflicts
  • Participate on the CRM implementation team and serve as an advocate and trainer within the department
  • Collaborate with teammates, agencies, and consultants to analyze and leverage data including marketing tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot, in addition to data stores, data warehouses, and data marts
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure data integrity and consistent reporting
  • Assist with data hygiene and setting data standards
  • Jump in with other special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in sales or marketing analytics, or financial analysis
  • You have experience with data reporting and visualization
  • You are highly analytical and can pull together multiple data sets for your analysis
  • You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working on projects involving multiple teams
  • You enjoy process and “getting your hands dirty” in the data
  • You have a keen eye and often catch errors that others miss
  • You have basic knowledge in revenue budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • You have basic knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodologies
  • You are a good communicator and can present your findings to a non-technical audience
  • You are very experienced in Microsoft Excel
  • You are proficient in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Power Point
  • While these are not required, experience with any of the following tools and skillsets is a plus:
    • AudienceView, Tessitura or other theatrical / event ticketing platforms
    • SurveyMonkey
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Data Studio
    • HubSpot or other email platform reporting
    • Social media reporting (we use Sprout Social)
    • Syndicated data sources such as Experian or other demographic database tools
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in data science, mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, statistics, finance, business administration, or another field that uses quantitative analysis (e.g., engineering) or equivalent practical experience

Working Conditions

Duties are primarily performed in a hybrid remote / office environment (located in downtown Denver). This role routinely uses standard office equipment, primarily a PC computer.
