Job Title:  Outreach Coordinator 

Position Description 

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Education Director, the Outreach Coordinator provides administrative support for the Park’s Travelling Trunk program, as well as assisting in managing, recruiting and training volunteers. This is a part-time, on-site, grant funded position.

 

  • Develop and implement an outreach plan that helps the Education Department meet defined program quotas
  • Promote the expansion of the Park’s outreach program by contacting potential programming sites such as schools, libraries and senior centers
  • Schedule programs
  • Track program budgets
  • Keep accurate records of program attendance to aid in grant reporting
  • Represent the Park at educator and volunteer fairs to promote the Park/recruit new volunteers
  • Communicate with existing Park volunteers to ensure volunteer needs around the Park are met for both special events and daily operations
  • Other related duties as required or as assigned  

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • High School Diploma/GED required, college degree preferred
  • Self-directed and organized
  • Works in a positive and cooperative manner with supervisor, staff, volunteers, and the public
  • High level of professionalism and superb customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to use G-Suite, Word, Excel and other software necessary to the position
  • Must pass background check
  • Knowledge about Front Range communities and schools a plus
  • Spanish fluency a plus

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The person in this position consistently operates a computer and telephone. They need to communicate with employees of schools, libraries and other organizations to provide accurate information about the Park’s programs in both speech and writing.
  •  Shared, temperature controlled office environment

    

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
