  • This position oversees all aspects of event planning and day of execution for existing Parker Arts education, development and gallery events as well as developing new programs and events.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, community programming, or a related field is preferred.  1-3 (one to three) years’ experience in event planning with some supervisory experience preferred.  Grant writing experience and experience with partnering with sponsors on events preferred.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
  • Knowledge of modern event-planning best practices.
  • Skill in the provision of customer service.
  • Skill in time management.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Town officials, community organizations, the public, promoters, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public in answering questions and handling difficult complaints.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work under and adhere to deadlines, even under stressful or difficult situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours as required. Holiday work may be required.
  • Organization, Event Planning Experience, Team Management Experience, Time-Management, Attention to Detail, Ability to plan more than one event at once, Team-Oriented, Strong Written and Verbal Communication, Vendor and Entertainment Research, ability to work independently, Enthusiasm, Flexibility.

Additional Information

Full salary range for is:  $48,204 – $69,938
