Job Title: Studio Manager
Status: Full-time / Exempt
Reports to: Executive Director of Access Gallery
Annualized Salary: $40,000 – $43,000

Access Gallery, a nonprofit organization, provides creative, economic, and educational opportunities for people with disabilities. Currently Access Gallery is seeking a full-time Studio Manager who will help participants explore creative art materials, learn, and demonstrate art techniques. This position takes place in a fun, creative and flexible environment with the opportunity to network with professionals in the arts and the non-profit sector, as well as make a difference in our community. This work will be performed at the studio located in Denver, CO

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversees general studio management, scheduling, manages materials and maintenance.
• Works closely with staff and teaching artists to enhance student art
• The Studio Manager will assist in teaching fundamental art elements, art vocabulary and work with artists and staff to help studio artists meet goals, prepare for shows in the gallery and work with team to bring out the creative potential in each of our artists
• Manages artistic output and flow for studio artists, manages group projects, and maintains individual records for studio artists
• Helps set rules/expectations for students, clients, and participants, provides a safe and supportive creative environment
• Assists in managing the art supply inventory and purchase supplies as necessary
• The Studio Manager will coordinate the overall schedule of the studio and will work to support high-quality art residencies, and workshops taught by local practicing artists. The studio manager will work with staff to track and document artistic and behavioral goals.

• Top-notch organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• 2+ years’ experience in classroom management
• Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
• Emotional maturity
• Ability to lead collaborative projects
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
• Travel is regular and a necessary condition of the position; must have reliable transportation

Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in fine arts, art education, art therapy, and/or special education Knowledge of visual arts organizations
• Knowledge of the disability community
• Knowledge of studio management
• Community contacts and relationships and the ability to create strategic partnerships

Physical Requirements of This Position:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. This person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
