The Systems Administrator will assist the Senior IT Manager with the support, maintenance and optimization of core business systems. They will help with installation, setup, preventative maintenance, monitoring, and issue resolution with all network and software services including core business applications, Active Directory, Cisco networking and VoIP phone system. The Systems Administrator will also assist with security including projects, monitoring and issue resolution throughout the environment including email, infrastructure, and PCI compliance.
Deploy applications, software and operating systems (including new installations, enhancements and upgrades)
Interact with vendors and contractors for software and network products and services, and maintain support agreements.
Conduct research on network and software services in support of procurement and development efforts.
Operational ManagementAdminister servers, including core business application, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Administer security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, patch management and intrusion detection systems.
Administer all network hardware and equipment, including Cisco firewalls, switches, and VOIP systems.
Ensure network connectivity of all buildings on the museum campus.
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Monitor system backups and recovery.
Provide guidance to junior members of the team by assisting with resolution of help desk tickets needing advance expertise.
