Under the direction of the Artistic Director, Gil Boggs, Colorado Ballet presents more than 50 performances annually to sold-out audiences in the 2,080-seat Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

The Raydean Acevedo Colorado Ballet Academy serves over 1,200 students each year, from toddlers to seniors. Colorado Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement programming engages with students, teachers, families, people with disabilities, and lifelong learners, making more than 35,000 contacts in 300 schools and organizations annually.

Position Overview

Colorado Ballet is looking for a dynamic, versatile, and creative Marketing Associate to support our integrated marketing efforts and drive audience engagement with compelling visual content and written storytelling. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the arts, have familiarity with graphic design & Adobe platforms, understand digital and traditional marketing strategies, and possess excellent communication skills. This role provides support in promoting company performances, community engagement programs, fundraising efforts, and Colorado Ballet Academy marketing efforts, ensuring that Colorado Ballet remains a vibrant part of the community.

Key Duties and Functions

  • Email & Direct Marketing
    • Build and deploy email campaigns for Colorado Ballet and its various departments (newsletters, promotions, event reminders, fundraising appeals) Assist with planning, executing, and analyzing direct mail campaigns, collaborating with internal and external teams, managing vendors, and tracking performance to achieve marketing goals.
  • Campaign Analysis & Reporting
    • Compile and track data on marketing campaigns and prepare performance reports on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
    • Suggest adjustments strategies as needed to meet performance goals.
  • Digital Marketing & Content
    • Steward the organization’s online presence, including website content, email marketing, and online advertising, to engage audiences and increase ticket sales.
    • Draft copy for emails, website, and various patron communications that drive ticket sales revenue, audience engagement, and retention.
    • Monitor website content for typos or outdated information, relaying updates to Visual Designer.
    • Help draft and edit social media content in collaboration with the Communications Manager, including copywriting, asset selection, and calendar management.
  • Partnerships & Deliverables
    • Support coordination with media buyers and vendors by tracking deliverables and deadlines.
    • Assist with communication of expectations and provide updates to ensure timely delivery of assets.
  • Administration & Support
    • Processing vendor invoices for payment by Finance and updating department budget tracker(s) on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
    • Collaborate closely with other members of the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across materials and channels. Provide general administrative and creative support to the Marketing Department, including coordination for photoshoot, editing, and other needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, precision, and accuracy.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, resourcefulness, and ability to prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Visual design portfolio that demonstrates strong graphic design skills and creative vision.
  • Experience & proficiency in Adobe Creative platforms (Photoshop, Adobe Express, Lightroom, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data analysis, campaign creation, and campaign optimization for email campaigns (WordFly)
  • Passion for ballet and performing arts is highly desirable.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information:

Salary Range: $47,000 – $55,000
