neverhome geolocated soundwalk – an audio experience played from your digital device, site-specifically "installed" on a route along the Lakewood Gulch Trail from the 40 West Arts Nexus to Parque de la Amistad. The soundwalk stretches about 3 miles and plays through an app on your device, guided by your GPS location. It's available for free anytime you choose. You can go with friends or alone, listen on headphones or a portable speaker (respectful of other park users), and take as long as you want to explore the stories and sounds that comprise the experience.

2026 SCFD Free Days (Daytime Admission 10am-4pm)
Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus
Joy Park Free Night - In collaboration with Denver Parks and Recreation, Joy Park and Adventure Forest will be open for free on Friday July 17, August 21 and September 25 from 4:30 - 8 pm. Tips for a Great Visit: Reservations are not required for this event, just show up and enjoy! Prepare for climbing, digging, zip-lining, splashing, all-in play by bringing sunscreen, towels, a change of clothes and extra socks. Please note: Joy Park Free Nights are rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, Joy Park and Adventure Forest will close. Except for the restrooms, the inside of the Museum will be closed. Pets are not allowed in Joy Park. Service dogs are always welcome.

South Suburban Parks and Recreation – Nature Programs
Nature Center and Park Visitation - The Carson Nature Center is open for drop in visitation weekends from 9:30am - 4:30pm. Visit live animals, build city on our flood table, and explore exhibits. Over 6 miles of trails in the open space, and five fishing lakes are open sunrise to sunset daily.

Oktoberfest Celebration
