South Suburban Parks and Recreation – Nature Programs
Nature Center and Park Visitation - The Carson Nature Center is open Tuesday through Friday for drop in visitation from 12 - 4:30pm. Visit live animals, build city on our flood table, and explore exhibits. Over 6 miles of trails in the open space, and five fishing lakes are open sunrise to sunset daily.

Joy Park Free Night - In collaboration with Denver Parks and Recreation, Joy Park and Adventure Forest will be open for free on Friday July 17, August 21 and September 25 from 4:30 - 8 pm. Tips for a Great Visit: Reservations are not required for this event, just show up and enjoy! Prepare for climbing, digging, zip-lining, splashing, all-in play by bringing sunscreen, towels, a change of clothes and extra socks. Please note: Joy Park Free Nights are rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, Joy Park and Adventure Forest will close. Except for the restrooms, the inside of the Museum will be closed. Pets are not allowed in Joy Park. Service dogs are always welcome.

Sing along to unforgettable songs as P.T. Barnum and his extraordinary cast light up the screen with heart, spectacle, and vibrant storytelling. Balloon animals, face painting and stilt walkers set the stage for an evening of circus magic. Don’t forget the popcorn! Doors open at 6:00 pm. Film starts at 7:00 pm.
