Science Night. Parker Arts is excited to bring back Parker Science Night on November 3rd from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the PACE Center. Unleash your curiosity and explore the world of science, technology, and engineering through hands-on activities and exhibits. Enjoy experiential learning with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Cave of the Winds, Phoenix Gold Mine, Playground Ensemble, Wings Over the Rockies, and more! Each classroom and booth will feature interactive, science-related activities. Parker Science Night is a free family event open to the entire community. While designed for all ages, it is especially geared towards elementary-aged children and their families.

Parker Honey Festival; Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 4 when the 17th Annual Honey Festival makes its buzzworthy return to Parker. From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at O’Brien Park, visitors can indulge in a fun-filled event aimed at raising awareness and appreciation for the humble honeybee through an array of educational and entertaining activities. The festival will welcome between 20-25 vendors, local beekeepers and beekeeping organizations who will showcase their wares and share their knowledge on all things bees! In addition, attendees can look forward to a kids hive, music and artistic displays. To enhance the educational aspect of the festival, all vendors will be required to offer an interactive and educational activity.

Art Gallery Exhibit: David Uhl: The Art of the Ride. Join us for a reception Thursday, July 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the PACE Center Gallery where you can meet David Uhl in person and purchase a signed copy of his book, “The Art of the Ride.” The bar will be open for drink purchases.

Art Reception: Remake, Reuse, Recycle; Because sustainability is one of the political hot-buttons this year, we are joining the conversation with positive ways to support artists and the planet through the recycled art movement. Artwork created with recycled materials should encourage viewers to question the sustainability and ecological impact of the artistic process and how we can all leave this planet a better place. This juried exhibit brings together artists from diverse backgrounds who have transformed discarded materials into captivating works of art. Art Reception Join us for a reception on June 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the PACE Center Gallery.

Art Reception: Joellyn Duesberry: Solving Problems on Press; Please join us in celebrating the work of Joellyn Duesberry (1944 – 2016), a nationally-recognized American artist renowned for her vibrant landscape paintings. With a keen eye for color and a unique balance of geometric elements, her canvases brought to life cityscapes and landscapes from around the globe. Join us on April 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the PACE Center Art Gallery for a reception celebrating the exhibit. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artist’s family and enjoy lite snacks while listening to live music by pianist, Tracy Chrysler.

Art Gallery Reception: Oh, Honey! The World of Encaustic Art; Join us August 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the PACE Center Gallery for an art reception celebrating the “Oh Honey! The World of Encaustic Art” exhibit which includes a collection of encaustic artworks created by artists, Victoria Eubanks, Mario Montanari, Jane Guthridge, Patricia Aaron, and Kathy Fisher. Each masterpiece tells a compelling tale and captures the essence of this ancient yet contemporary art form.

Art Reception: Women with Power Tools. Join Parker Arts on Thursday, May 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for an art reception celebrating “Women with Power Tools,” an exhibit showcasing the creativity and innovation of women in the traditionally male-dominated field of carpentry.

Parker Science Day; Come unleash your curiosity and explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, and engineering in Discovery Park with hundreds of local families and students. Parker Science Day is a drop-in event. Our science exhibits will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and you may arrive and leave whenever you like. Each exhibit will allow participants to explore different branches of science and learn something new while having fun outside! Emceed by Eddie Goldstein – professional magician, dinner theater performer, museum science educator, and one of the most talented and entertaining science presenters in the world!
