The Communications Manager is responsible for communicating RedLine’s mission and vision to the public through the following:
Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand/mission awareness and advance RedLine as a community-based, social-justice focused art center working to create positive social change.
Implement a comprehensive communications and marketing plan under the direction of the marketing committee and leadership team (Executive Director, Deputy Director, Development Director, and Education Director).
Develop and oversee all marketing channels including website, blog, all social media channels, and design/print materials to share information about RedLine events, giving opportunities, community engagement outreach, and other related materials.
Increase community engagement with our exhibitions, residents, community/education programs, and placemaking projects by ensuring these opportunities are shared within target audiences.
Ensure the consistency of RedLine’s branding through the implementation of systems for receiving content from departments, communication with press, and design and print materials.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years’ experience in marketing with a strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques. Proven success with creating targeted content is necessary. Experience in the arts, social justice, and/or community engagement is a bonus.
The successful candidate will be an individual who is extremely passionate about contemporary art education for under-resourced populations and believes in RedLine’s vision that everyone can create positive social change through art. RedLine is seeking an individual who is reliable, demonstrates initiative, takes responsibility for high quality work and is able to balance attention to detail with higher level views of and organizational needs. To successfully fulfill this position’s responsibilities, the individual must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, be able to multitask and work under pressure, be highly organized, have the ability to see what needs to get done and take the initiative to do it.
Compensation: $45,000-$52,000 (Based on Experience)
