DUG is seeking a full-time Director of Garden Leadership who is passionate about creating spaces of community impact around food forests, gardening, community-building, sustainability, food justice, and climate action.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Garden Leader (GL) Coordination
- Serve as point person for DUG’s garden leader network (350+) and maintain relationships
- Recruit, outreach and train GLs for all DUG gardens
- Compile communications and resources for monthly GL communication (electronic)
- Maintain current GL information in Salesforce
- Support GLs in conflict resolution strategies
- Ensure GLs are represented in future strategic shifts
- Events
- Support annual Signature Events including DUG Symposium and Harvest Happy Hour
- Ensure all GLs are trained for success through facilitating Garden Leader Trainings and/or one-on-one trainings
- Coordinate DUG’s Garden Leader Meetup events
- Attend in-garden events, work days, opening meetings as needed
- Program Development and Evaluation
- Oversee garden activation strategies with Garden Operations team
- Keep Garden Leader resource page on website up-to-date
- Administer GL and Gardener end of season surveys
- Oversee Plot Registration process each spring in conjunction with Operations team to ensure plot registration from every DUG gardener
- Administration
- Liaise with Finance team to process GL reimbursements to garden accounts
- Oversee Garden Leader program budget including spend down
- Grant alignment in conjunction with Development team including grant application review, tracking and reporting
Compensation: Starting compensation is $65,000 - $85,000. This is a full-time, non-exempt, fully benefited position based on experience and skill set.
