The part-time Marketing Assistant supports marketing and communications for Northglenn Arts, including Presents and Northglenn Youth Theatre/Academy programming. This creative, detail-oriented position assists in managing social media, designing promotional materials, coordinating advertising, and supporting overall branding efforts. The ideal candidate is both artistic and organized, passionate about storytelling, and eager to help share the magic of the arts with the Northglenn community and beyond.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Create, schedule, and manage engaging content for Facebook and Instagram, including posts, stories, and reels.
- Develop and run paid social media ad campaigns to promote events and programs.
- Track performance analytics, gather insights, and adjust strategy to boost engagement and reach.
- Lead social media marketing meetings, presenting content calendars and performance reports.
- Assist in writing and editing promotional email copy for upcoming shows, classes, and events.
Design & Print Marketing
- Design a variety of marketing materials including marquees, bright signs, banners, flyers, postcards, and newspaper ads.
- Collaborate on the design and layout of the Northglenn Recreation Activity Guide, a seasonal publication distributed citywide.
- Design printed programs for theatre performances and maintain the marketing wall display in the Parsons Theatre lobby.
- Create visual materials to promote Youth Theatre productions, Academy classes, and community arts events.
Collaboration & Administration
- Support marketing strategy and planning across both Northglenn Arts and Youth Theatre initiatives.
- Coordinate with staff, instructors, and artists to gather photos, videos, and content for promotional use.
- Ensure branding consistency and alignment across all platforms.
- Assist with event promotion before, during, and after performances as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfortable using computers; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet search tools, Google Suite, Outlook, Meta Business tools, and Canva.
- Excellent follow through, work ethic, and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills. Can efficiently execute on multiple priorities/tasks/ideas
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Meta Social Media platforms strongly preferred
- A degree in arts management, arts marketing, marketing, performing arts or the like preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk; talk, and hear
- Regularly required to use hands to handle, grasp, or feel
- Regularly required to use close vision
- Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
- Subject primarily to indoor conditions
- Occasionally subject to a loud and busy environment
- In-person with a possibility of hybrid work
Compensation: $17 / hour
